Official Steam store text, English and Chinese versions, and the PlayStation Blog, 2023. Press-reported Wccftech and the Gamersky preview. Unconfirmed The Discordance and Pangzhen Chinese pairings; the trailer title “The Return of Pang Town”, in the older spelling this page used before 14 Oct, comes from a fan wiki list, as read on 10 October 2026, and has not been checked on the official channel.

Each entry shows where its English and Chinese names come from on the names page, and whether one source gives both or the pairing is our own.

How to read the seals

A seal with white characters cut into solid red means one source gives the English and the Chinese name together: an official text published in both languages, or the game’s own screens in English and Chinese. A seal with red characters inside a red border shows a Chinese name no official source has confirmed: a likely name we matched ourselves, and the names page says on what basis, or a name only the press reports. No seal means no Chinese name is known, or the only candidate is weak. Names seen in a demo may still change in the launch build. Each entry names the level of each source beside the fact. The earlier games’ names for these people and factions are on the Rainblood page, and every pairing is listed on the names page.

What is not yet known

  • How this game names the patriarch of The OrderThe only name we have is from the earlier games.
  • What the Lady of the Veil is, and the role of Inanis in this gameNamed in the store text; the 2025 demo adds only the idol and its cult. Nothing more is given.
  • The Chinese name for The Flesh SculptorNone in the sources we read.
  • English names for the two factions known only in ChineseChinese names only, from the preview and the Chinese demo menus.
  • The Chinese names marked as our translationZuo Shang, Mu Xiaokui, The Order, Allied Justice and the Seven Stars are our matches, as are the Discordance and Pangzhen.
  • A girl from Pangzhen who seeks medicine for her fatherDescribed in the Chinese preview. She has no name in it; Yu’er, in an English preview, may or may not be her.
  • The other five map namesThree of the eight are on screen; the rest have not been shown.
  • Whether Forge is a person or a workshopThe item text says only “Created by Forge”.
  • VoicesOnly Donnie Yen (Mó Yuan, face and motion capture) is credited so far.

Each likely or pending name will be settled when the game is switched between English and Chinese, as explained on the names page.
