Who is Yu’er?

Yu’er introduces herself to Soul as the daughter of Pangzhen’s brewer. Her father has fallen into a sleep he does not wake from, and she has stolen a prescription from a Pangzhen apothecary that names a strange Flesh Lily as the cure. She is the one who tells Soul that the road into Pangzhen runs through the forest above the valley’s Great Waterfall.

Later she turns up at the Weeping Creek Valley outpost mixing salves for the Mandate’s wounded, and then at the thieves’ camp in the Crimson Forest caring for injured thieves. She trusts Soul completely and calls him Mister Soul.

What happens to Yu’er

The end of the story for this character

Soul finds her again in a vessel chamber in the Mirage Estate. Her last words to him are that she is cold. In the final battle she appears as a vision and asks him not to let the Wulin shed any more tears. The game never says outright that she dies, but nothing after that scene suggests she lived.

“Mister Soul... I'm so cold...”
