Who is Wu Lengshuang?
Born the daughter of a wealthy merchant, Wu Lengshuang took up martial arts after seeing the chaos of the world, and the suppleness she learned from dance became her swordplay. Like her master, she believed Perfect Transcension and Transcension alike were unorthodox arts.
In the Crimson Forest in Chapter 2 a dying Baishan disciple tells Soul what happened. Bi Taotao went to the Mandate Encampment to find out what had become of the Mandate’s leaders and never came back, and Wu Lengshuang led the other sisters after her. No one has heard from them since.
You find her in the Mandate Encampment in Chapter 5, at the end of the mountain path, beside her master. Her mask is already cracked and she is struggling to hold down the Sha-Chi surging inside her, yet she keeps her grace and poise.

Tales
Secrets of the Baishan Sect
In the Crimson Forest two Baishan disciples at the thieves’ camp send you to the mountain lodge, where their wounded Junior Sister Meng is hidden. With her last breath she sends you to the Mandate Encampment after Bi Taotao, and at the end of the mountain path you meet Wu Lengshuang beside her master.
How this quest turns out
She has found her master, but only Bi Taotao’s body: her mind has been displaced into a puppet. Wu Lengshuang cannot hold on any longer, says she is sorry, and you have to fight her.

Wu Lengshuang, the Soft Sword
The senior disciple of the Baishan Sect and Bi Taotao’s first disciple. When Soul encountered Wu Lengshuang in the Confinement, her mask was already cracked as she struggled to suppress the Sha-Chi surging within her. Even with a soft sword in hand, supple yet unyielding, she retained her usual grace and poise.
Like Bi Taotao, Wu Lengshuang believed both Perfect Transcension and Transcension to be unorthodox arts. After her master disappeared, she set out to find her and uncover the truth.
She never imagined her fellow disciples had been turned into Maskwalkers and Puppets until she saw it herself. After uncovering the truth, she too was transformed. Even as her Sha-Chi spiraled out of control, she remained concerned for her master, who had been taken to the end of the mountain path.
Born the daughter of a wealthy merchant, she took up martial arts after seeing the chaos of the world. The flexibility she developed through dance became frenzied swordplay under Sha-Chi’s influence. Once the senior disciple of Baishan, she could no longer protect her sect or face her elders. Transformed in body and tormented at heart, only loyalty and sorrow remained.
What happens to Wu Lengshuang
The end of the story for this character
Her Sha-Chi breaks loose and Soul has to beat her. Her last words are to her master: she has failed her, and this is as far as she can go. Even as she lost control she was still worrying about Bi Taotao. The game never says in so many words that she dies there, but in the final battle she appears as a vision and thanks Soul for letting her return to her master as her disciple once more.
“Master… I have failed you… this is as far as I can go…”
