About Kungfupunk
Kungfupunk is an unofficial English field manual for Phantom Blade Zero. It exists because the facts a new player needs are scattered across store pages, press previews and Chinese-language articles, and English summaries often repeat each other without saying where a claim came from.

How facts are sourced
Each fact on the site carries one of four marks: Official, Press-reported, Store data or Unconfirmed. Each mark links to the page it came from. Chinese names are shown as seals; how to read them is set out under How this site works below.
When two sources disagree, both versions are shown. Where we could not reach a source, the fact is marked Unconfirmed or left out. A fact we cannot point to does not appear.
How this site works
Kungfupunk is a reference, not the official site and not a fan forum. The name borrows S-GAME’s own word for the game’s style; the site is not theirs. Every fact on it is recorded with the place it came from and how far that place can be trusted. Each fact carries one of four marks, and each mark links to its source.
Official means the developer or the publisher said it, in an announcement or in the text of a store page. Press-reported means a named outlet reported it from a preview, an interview or a broadcast. Store data means a value we read out of a store listing, such as a price or an unlock time; it is not an announcement. Unconfirmed means a wiki, a fan write-up or a page we could not open is the only support.
The release date at the top of the home page is the developer's headline date. It was moved from 9 September 2026 in a Steam announcement, “A Letter From Creative Director”, dated 3 June 2026. Official Steam announcement, 3 June 2026. Steam and Epic have not published an unlock hour.
Chinese names are shown as seals. White characters cut into red mark an official Chinese name: an official text, or the game’s own screens in English and Chinese, give both names. Red characters inside a red border mark a Chinese name no official source has confirmed: a likely name we matched ourselves, and the entry says on what basis, or a name only the press reports. No seal means no Chinese name is known yet, or the only candidate is weak. Names known in Chinese only are listed under their Chinese name. Names seen in a demo may change in the launch build, and unconfirmed names stay that way until the game's own text settles them. Likely names are our own matches from press and fan write-ups, not statements by the developer. Every pairing and its basis is on the names page.
Where two sources disagree, both versions are shown. We have not yet seen the game's own English on-screen text, so spellings such as Jagged Steel or Jagged Blade appear as the press printed them.
