Phantom Blade Zero · Character
Wei Sanchuan
Wei Sanchuan is one of Moji’s disciples in the Mandate Encampment, the one Moji trusted with the spare key to the camp’s outer gate. You never speak with him: you know him from a memory at that locked gate and the letter he signed, and Pillars of Kunlun sends you to Pangzhen in Chapter 4 to find him.

Who is Wei Sanchuan?
Wei Sanchuan studied under Moji, the gentlest of the Pillars of Kunlun, together with Zhao Di and Zhuge Feng. When Huangxing forced Perfect Transcension on the Mandate Encampment the three refused it, and signed a letter written in tears of blood calling Huangxing a traitor who had murdered their master.
You see him only in a memory. At the camp’s outer gate, a memory shows the three disciples deciding to escape. Moji had trusted Wei Sanchuan with the spare key, and locking the gate behind them might keep the abominations at bay and stop travellers wandering in. If they make it out, he tells the other two, they should go on without him: he swore to Xiaowan he would meet her in Pangzhen.
With that gate locked, the only way into the Mandate Encampment is his key, so the trail turns to Pangzhen in Chapter 4.

His body was dumped in a well in Pangzhen, the one by the Pond of Fading Song where Gu Wanyue sings; the bell at the bottom is called Well of Wei Sanchuan. The Mandate Encampment Outer Gate Key is still on him.
What happens to Wei Sanchuan
The end of the story for this character
Wei Sanchuan died in Pangzhen, and his body was left in a well with the Mandate Encampment’s outer gate key still on him. The game never says who killed him. In a memory by the well you hear his last words to Wanyue: she said the lake in Pangzhen was her favourite and they would see it together; the High Elder’s people destroyed her, but he is not afraid, whatever she has become; she should not be afraid either, and wait for him.
Gu Wanyue hears his voice from the bottom of the well and keeps singing beside it, sure that he is calling to her.
“I heard his voice from the darkness below... he's cold and lonely, nowhere to go.”
