Where is the Phantom Blade Zero save file?

The PC save is not in Documents but in the game’s install folder: ProjectPBZ\Saved\SaveGames\Steam\a long number\PBZSaveGame.sav.

  1. 1 · Open the folder In Steam, right-click Phantom Blade Zero and choose Manage › Browse local files, then open ProjectPBZ › Saved › SaveGames › Steam and the folder named with a long number. On Steam Deck, do the same in Desktop Mode and open this page in the browser there.
  2. 2 · Drop it here Drop PBZSaveGame.sav on the box above. Quit the game first if you can, so the file is not half written.
  3. 3 · See what is missing Key items you have not picked up come first, grouped by map. “See on the map” opens the spot.

A PS5 save cannot be copied off the console, so tick spots by hand on the region maps instead. For the other differences, see Phantom Blade Zero on PC or PS5.

The file is read in your browser and the page sends none of it anywhere. Disconnect from the internet before dropping it, if you want to be sure.

The game keeps its last 3 autosaves in the same file, a few minutes apart. The page uses the newest; you can switch to an older one afterwards.

The page says which case it is: not a Phantom Blade Zero save; an incomplete file (copied while the game was writing it); a save format newer than the page, most likely after a game update; or a browser that is too old.
