Hold R2: Charge up for even higher damage. You can unleash the charged attack immediately after dodging or in the middle of running.

Tap R2 twice: Instantly swing at full charge at the cost of 2 ◆.

  • Maybe the Dread Axe. It is the only axe-like Phantom Edge in the 2025 demo’s English menu, and the Chinese tutorial of the same demo asks you to switch to a heavy axe and charge it twice. It may be the same weapon as the Dread Axe under an earlier name; that is our guess, not a source’s.
