The stores list two editions: a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. In the US they cost $59.99 and $69.99, on Steam and on the PlayStation Store alike. The Deluxe adds two outfits, a digital artbook and the soundtrack.
Pre-orders opened on 11 August 2026 and come with two extra items. PS5 discs follow in 2027 in Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions, the Ultimate with a collectible steel case.

PlayStation states the period itself. The end card of the August 2026 State of Play reads “PlayStation®5 console exclusive*”, with the footnote “*Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 12 months after release date.” Counted from 29 October 2026, that means no other console before late October 2027, which matches a report from the Russian outlet PlayGround.ru that Xbox owners will wait until at least autumn 2027.

Physical or digital edition
PS5 discs are coming in 2027. S-GAME’s launch trailer of 22 October 2026 shows Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate physical editions, the Ultimate with a collectible steel case, under the line “PS5 Physical Edition Coming in 2027”. At launch on 29 October 2026 the game is digital only.
The Ultimate Edition on PS5 disc, due in 2027, comes with a collectible steel case, as the last card of the launch trailer shows. No price, day or contents list has been given for any of the three discs, and S-GAME has not mentioned a PC disc. The whole trailer is on our launch trailer page.
The two retailer claims of early October both fit the announcement: Play-Asia wrote that the game is “released in digital format only”, and a Chinese game seller said a PS5 disc would follow next year.
Is there a physical (disc) edition?
Yes, but not yet. Today the only way to play is a digital copy from Steam, the PlayStation Store or the other PC shops. The discs are PS5 only and arrive in 2027, in three editions.

In mainland China a limited run of 20,000 physical collector’s boxes was reported in September 2026. Its contents and price, and whether a disc is inside, were not given, and we have not seen it in an English-language store.
If you want to play this week, buy digital: there is no disc to wait for until 2027. If you collect boxed copies, the Ultimate steel case is the one to watch for. Download sizes for both platforms are on the pre-load and download size page.
Phantom Blade Zero demo
No public demo has been announced. A PlayStation Store demo listing leaked in August 2026 and was pulled. Nothing has been published since. The Steam page has no demo listed.
Press previews, of four to six hours each on a near-final build, were published on 8 and 9 October 2026.
